Flying Fish Chalet was architecturally designed and built
in 2002 on 16 acres of regenerating bush located on the edge of Tryphena
Harbour on Great Barrier Island. It is available for holiday rental
from Island Accommodation Ltd.
The Chalet is set back 100m from the sea to maximise sun,
shelter and privacy. It is a couple of minutes walk to a small sandy beach,
two boat ramps and a sheltered mooring area.
It been designed and set up for a family with young
children and is open plan, with no separate bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps
a family of five.
The Bach reflects the owner’s love of fishing, diving and
all water sports & entertaining. It features a great outdoor eating area
with a wood fired oven, open fire and gas barbeque.
There is also a great fish cleaning area complete with
wood smoker for those successful fishing trips.
The Chalet is a lovely 20 minute walk or five minute drive along
the harbour edge to cafes, restaurants and shops and bars. The property has
a large herb garden and young orchard with lemons and limes available most
of the year for guests use.
